Scout’s is working tirelessly to follow the guidelines set for us by the CDC, state, and local governments. We are taking drastic measures in order to comply with the mandated Covid19 protocols. Our goal is to provide a safe and enjoyable haircut experience while vigorously prioritizing the safety of both staff and clients. For more information on open locations, click below:

Booking

In order to accommodate all of our clients, we are accepting walk-in’s & booking appointments up to 14 days in advance. Read below to find out how you can book an appointment with us:

1)    Book Online – click below to book an appointment up to 14 days in advance. Choose your preferred date and time to finalize your spot and book!

2)    Download our APP – download for Android or iOS and book your appointment quickly and easily!

3)    Call Ahead – if you have questions or would like to book an appointment over the phone, give the shop a call

Walk In’s

For a walk in or same day service, visit the shop of your choice and check in at the front desk when you arrive. While checking you in, the receptionist will ask a series of Covid19 screening questions, check your temperature, and assist you with your walk in service.

Requesting a Stylist

If you’re hoping to request a specific stylist for your appointment, let us know by leaving a message in the “notes” section when booking online or in the app. If you have questions about requesting a stylist or would like to book over the phone, call the shop and we’ll be happy to assist you & do our best to accommodate your request.

When You Arrive For Your Appointment

When you arrive, you will be greeted with front door signage stating that a facial covering is required for the duration of your visit and invites all guests to enter the facility.

At check in, the receptionist on duty will:

    • Confirm that you have appropriate PPE.
    • Temperature screen you to ensure that your temperature is 100.3 degrees or lower.
    • Ask you the following screening questions issued by the CDC:
      • Have you been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19
      • Are you experiencing a cough, shortness of breath, or sore throat?
      • Have you had a fever in the last 48 hours?

If you fail to meet standards set by the CDC, you will asked to leave the facility. If you meet all standards, you will be checked in for your service.

How We’re Keeping Clients Safe

I.      Limited Capacity Limit – we have a limited capacity limit per the TN State guidelines for close – contact businesses. This limited capacity will allow for extra social distancing and limited contact. All Scout’s Barbershop stations are designed to be 6 feet apart but stylists will alternate chairs at shops with enough space to do so.

II.    Waiting Areas – in order to comply with our state mandated limited capacity guidelines, we are allowing a limited number of guests to be seated in our designated waiting areas. In order to maintain proper physical distancing in our waiting areas, we ask that you sit six feet apart from anyone outside of your household. Parents of small children may wait 6 feet away from the stylist & station during their child’s service.

III.   Until further notice, we will not be offering beard or shave services.

IV.  Water fountains and self service beverage stations will be closed in compliance with state guidelines.

V.    All books, magazines, pens, and business cards will be removed from the waiting area and desk.

VI.  At check out, clients will swipe their own card, select their tip option, and sign on the iPad. Reception will immediately sanitize the iPad and wash their hands.

How We’re Keeping Staff Safe

I.      Staff will be screened before the start of every shift. They’ll be required to answer a set of questions issued by the CDC in addition to being temperature checked. All staff members will be required to wear a face mask for the duration of their shift.

II.    Staff will follow increased hygiene practices and respiratory etiquette – sweeping and hand washing between all services & more frequently if necessary. In between each appointment, stylists will sanitize capes & disinfect all tools. Stations will be swept and completely wiped down before the next appointment begins.

III.   Reception will regularly disinfect high touch surface areas and equipment.

IV.  Stylists will greet clients without contact – no handshake – and will dress each client with a neck strip, sanitized cape, and disposable bib. All tools used by the stylist will be sanitized and one towel will be used per client.

V.    Any styling product used by stylists will be scooped from the container with a popsicle stick and then disposed of.

All staff will practice safe physical distancing; staff will not congregate in any area of the shop and all stations will be at least 6 feet apart.
